在當今數位時代，我們的生活有許多方面都極為依賴可靠的網絡覆蓋。然而，網絡覆蓋並非總是輕而易舉地可得，這已經導致了城市與鄉村地區之間的數位鴻溝。幸運的是，5G非地面網絡（NTN）為解決這個問題提供了一個令人振奮的解決方案，為偏遠地區提供了高品質且具有堅韌性的網絡。 要實施5G NTN，我們有兩種架構可供選擇：3GPP Rel.17 Bent-pipe架構和Rel.18 Regenerative架構。這兩種架構的選擇反映了不同的需求。IoT-NTN非常適合用於消息傳遞，因為它專為低數據傳輸速率而設計，而NR-NTN則可以實現更高的數據傳輸速率，支援視頻通話和其他應用。然而，實施NTN也伴隨著一些技術挑戰，比如多普勒頻移和頻率誤差，以及混合式自動重試請求（HARQ）過程。 多普勒頻移和頻率誤差在NTN中會出現，當信號穿越大氣層抵達目的地時，會因多普勒效應而導致信號頻率的變化。這種頻率變化可能會引發頻率誤差，因此需要進行補償，以確保通信的精確性。 至於HARQ過程，在極長的往返時間（RTT）情況下，可能會變得更加具有挑戰性，可能導致分組丟失和吞吐量減少。為確保可靠的通信，我們需要增加HARQ過程的最大數量，這可能會導致增加的UE軟緩衝區大小和HARQ反饋字段位數。 NTN是一個有前景的解決方案，可以為偏遠和鄉村地區提供網絡覆蓋。隨著對高速互聯網連接的需求不斷增加，預計NTN的應用將在未來數年內迅速擴展。這種增長不僅將為以前未服務的地區提供互聯網訪問，還將在這些地區開啟創新和經濟增長的新機會。許多公司，包括ALifecom，在投資於實現無處不在的網絡覆蓋的新技術應用方面表現出積極性，而NTN的技術進步預計將持續不斷地演進。
